Our founding partner, Edward “Ted” McNabola, is an active member and the current treasurer of The Society of Trial Lawyers in Illinois. In 2020, he will continue his service in the organization by becoming Secretary. Per the society’s by-laws, Ted was voted into this position for a 2-year term.
Acting as secretary is an honor for Ted because he will maintain his dedication to, and governing role within, one of the most illustrious groups in the Chicago legal world.
About the Society
The Society of Trial Lawyers is a prestigious organization that was founded in 1934 to encourage loyalty and fraternity among trial lawyers and to maintain the highest ethical standards in the trial of cases. It also seeks to promote closer relationships between trial lawyers and the judiciary in order to further their common interests in the jury trial system. Members are added on an invitation-only basis and include approximately 100 of the most accomplished trial attorneys in Illinois in both plaintiff law and civil defense.
About Ted
Ted McNabola has not lost a case at trial in over 12 years. He is deeply dedicated to his clients and will tenaciously pursue their legal rights even if it means having to go to trial on their behalf. In fact, Ted’s last 5 trials arose because the defendants did not offer settlements to his clients. Nevertheless, Mr. McNabola won all of these cases during civil trials and achieved verdicts totaling nearly $20 million.
In addition to his position of leadership in The Society of Trial Lawyers, Ted has been selected as one of the top 100 consumer attorneys in Illinois by Law & Politics magazine. He has held an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell® for the last 15 years and has been selected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer and a member of the Leading Lawyers Network.
Ted is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the United States Supreme Court Bar. He is an accomplished legal writer and educator and holds a Clients’ Choice Award and 10.0 Rating from Avvo.
