Annual Chicago Motorcycle Charity Ride for a Cause
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a globally recognized motorcycle charity event that brings together riders dressed in classic attire to combat stereotypes and raise vital funds for men's health initiatives. This annual Chicago gathering sees hundreds of participants on vintage-style bikes touring the city to promote prostate cancer research and mental health awareness. McNabola & Associates is honored to sponsor this impactful event that aligns with our commitment to community support and rider advocacy. Since its founding in Sydney, Australia, the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride has grown into a worldwide movement with over 100,000 participants across more than 100 countries. The event has raised millions of dollars for men's health programs through The Movember Foundation, making a tangible difference in research and support services. This motorcycle charity ride represents one of the most significant collective efforts in the motorcycle community to address critical health issues affecting men.
The Chicago chapter of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride consistently demonstrates strong local participation, with nearly 700 riders raising substantial funds in recent events. These gatherings not only generate crucial financial support for men's health awareness but also create a positive public image of the motorcycle community. The event successfully combines style, camaraderie, and purpose while breaking down negative stereotypes about riders. As personal injury attorneys who both ride and represent riders, McNabola & Associates understands the importance of this motorcycle charity ride's dual mission. Our sponsorship reflects our firm's dedication to supporting initiatives that benefit both the riding community and broader public health causes.
We believe in using our resources to back events that make meaningful contributions to important social issues. The continued success of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Chicago and worldwide highlights the power of community organizing for men's health awareness. Each year, this motorcycle charity ride demonstrates how passionate individuals can come together to support vital health initiatives while enjoying their shared interest in motorcycles. McNabola & Associates remains committed to supporting this exceptional event and its important mission for years to come.
At McNabola & Associates, we are proud to give back to our community, especially when giving back involves getting a chance to ride while also working with a charity that contributes to an issue that affects millions of men everywhere. For this reason, we were extremely proud to both sponsor and take part in the festivities in the sixth annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in Chicago.
The nearly 700 riders raised more than $88,000 for charities such as The Movember Foundation, which promotes awareness and a cure for prostate cancer.
About the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was initially founded in Syndey, Australia by Mark Hawwa, who was inspired to change the negative stereotypes about motorcycles after seeing a photo of Don Draper from Mad Men on his classic themed bike while wearing his best suit.
His first ride in 2012 brought out 2,500 riders across 64 cities around the world, and the event has only grown since. The very next year more than 11,000 riders in 145 cities around the world raised $277,000 for charity, and in 2014 the ride broke the million-dollar mark in funds raised. In 2016, and inspired by the loss of one of their ride hosts to depression, the fundraising goals changed to include men’s mental health programs in addition to prostate cancer research.
Last year’s event brought together 94,000 riders in 581 cities from 92 countries all around the planet, all while raising $4.85 million. This year’s ride sought to surpass $6 million in funds raised to benefit these charities, and hosted well in excess of 100,000 riders.
At McNabola & Associates, as a group of attorneys who ride and represent riders, we’re extremely proud to be a part of this annual event which has become so renowned for not only the optics and enjoyment that it brings, but for the attention and awareness it brings to issues which continue to affect millions of men all around the world.
